In episode 16 of The Writing Coach, I speak with author and writing coach Steve Windsor.

Amazon Bestselling Author Steve Windsor has been pumping out some of the wildest, most controversial, and irreverent thriller books that you’ll never want to admit you secretly love.  His Nine Day Novel series on the details and difficulties of writing fiction hit the Amazon best seller list in just 2 days. Steve also works as a writing coach in Chandler Bolt’s Self-Publishing School.

During the interview, Steve describes:

  • Why writers respond to the down to earth voice used in his writing books
  • How he gets his motivation from being told something can’t be done
  • The reason skipping your next vacation to Disney Land could be a great idea
  • Why he doesn’t leave negative reviews on Amazon
  • How he leans into his bad reviews
  • Why the education system is producing “monkey pumpers”
  • The truth about carpenters
  • and much more!

In episode 15 of The Writing Coach, I speak with professional organizer and Apple expert Deron Bos.

As the rare man who has passion for both label makers and iPads, Deron is a personal professional organizer and Apple tutor.  I am an active member of both the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO). He has also worked as a stage actor and a college English teacher, and he has a Master's degree in play-writing. As a productivity junkie, Deron believes organizing spaces and learning Apple products can be a life-changing transformation.

During the interview, Deron describes:

  • The importance of distraction free writing
  • How clutter can distract us from our goals
  • How organizing digital and physical spaces is actually very similar
  • The connection between stage acting and the entrepreneurial realm
  • Plain text tools writers can take advantage of
  • and much more!

In episode 13 of The Writing Coach, I speak with best selling author, speaker and entrepreneur, Chandler Bolt. This is part 2 of an interview that began on the Write Along Radio podcast.

Chandler was bit by the entrepreneurial bug at an early age when he saw that he could make a lot more money working for himself. While his friends were off searching for jobs, he was out starting businesses. After struggling with writing for most of his life, he manages to turn his first book, The Productive Person, into a best seller. He donated all proceeds from his follow-up book, Breaking Out of a Broken System, to charity. His third book, Book Launch, outlines the system he uses to produces best sellers. He now teaches that systems to other authors via his online training and coaching program, Self Publishing School.

During the interview, Chandler describes:

  • Why he decided to share his knowledge with other authors and launch Self Publishing School
  • The mentor role his parents and brother have played in his life
  • The important role that accountability partners and communities plays in a writer's success
  • Why putting too much expectations on a book launch takes all the fun out of it
  • and much more!
